TIPS FOR APPLYING LIQUID LIP PAINT

Matte liquid lip paint is a pigmented lip product that dries on your lips with a matte finish, with no shine. A matte formula is long-lasting, but it can dry your lips—this is normal to achieve a long lasting application.

Exfoliate lips the night before your competition or performance by rubbing with a washcloth to remove all dry skin or using a lip scrub. This can be done the night before. After exfoliation, you can apply a lip balm to moisturize your lips overnight. Lip Paint will stain dry skin darker and give an uneven color application.

Remove the applicator from the lip tube and wipe excess lip paint off the applicator. DO NOT APPLY LIKE A LIP GLOSS, THE PRODUCT WILL NOT DRY. Apply in thin coats to allow fast drying.

Using the tip of the applicator, line the edge of your lip starting a the cupids bow. Apply the lip paint on your lower lip first using the lip paint sparingly. Then apply lip paint on the top lip from the center of the lip and work your way out towards the corner contouring around the lip line.

Make sure to apply the lip paint in even layers and it is best to go in one direction only, not back and forth. Be careful not to go beyond your lip line or you will have lip paint outside your lip line.

The lip paint is a fast drying lip product and should dry within 20 -40 seconds, if it does not you have applied to much. You can also blot between applications to remove excess lip paint. If you do not apply the lip paint in thin coats which dries completely, smudging will occur. You can apply a second thin coat until you reach the desired intensity. Let thoroughly dry.

Optional: Apply Crystal-Clear Topcoat Lip Gloss for a shiny finish! Color can bleed if the lip paint is not completely dry before applying gloss.
